The Castle in Pictures

The Long Walk, the statues of the Upper Ward, and the rooms behind the walls — a glimpse of what awaits at Windsor.

The Grounds

Beyond the walls, the castle opens onto Home Park — and the most famous view of all.

Statues & Monuments

The Upper Ward keeps company with its own stone and bronze residents — kings, queens and consorts.

Inside the Castle

Crimson walls, gilded ceilings and centuries of portraits — the rooms visitors walk through today.

Photography isn't permitted inside the State Apartments or St George's Chapel, so these are impressions rather than photographs of the real rooms.
